I have today recieved my long-awaited copy of Acheron. I live in Wales in the UK. I was very disappointed in the condition of the book. The pages have serated edges – not cut properly (look as they’ve been hacked) and the cover is broken in places. I am afraid to return the book in case I don’t get another copy.

i disagree with all of you who put down 2 or below stars i’m not a huge diehard fan and liked it and i understand why she made it go on and on, because you had to know everything about Arki to know what made him who he is. people are just disappointed because they realy wanted a book that was like the other books, but this one had to be different because this was Arki. plus everyone wanted a book that revealed all of Arki’s secrets. well here they are!!!!!

I have read several of the reviews before I wrote mine. I too was excited about this book being released; I bought the book on Tuesday night and stayed up until 3 am before putting it down. While reading the first half I kept thinking, can there really be this many pages of hell that Ash went through? Finely, part two. I liked Tory and felt she made a wonderful match to Ash. I also felt that the same energy was not put into the second half as the first. I actually missed the first half, feeling that the writing was better in that section. I agree with the other reviewers that the story was rushed in the second half. Ash seemed somewhat flat, not his normal intensity that I’ve come to love in past books. I guess its okay. I would have given the book 3 1/2 stars if possible. I’m looking forward to the next book.

Characters are weak and ridiculous.
Ash is helpless and abused for 4000 years. 400 pages of filler drivel, detailing r*pe, se*xual abuse, and incest – she ran out of plot lines….
