August 3, 2011 Adult paranormal romance?
Question:
I really enjoyed Sunshine by Robin McKinley. It had amazing sexual tension, and the sex scenes were tastefully done and wasn’t prevalent throughout the book (unlike most adult paranormal romance novels these days -or maybe I just have bad luck buying books). Basically, I don’t want unnecessary sex scenes (like J.R. Ward’s Dark Lover) or erotica (like Laura K. Hamilton’s later books).
Sunshine read like a fairy tale. The atmosphere was ethereal, the setting was enchanting, and the characters were delightful to follow. Know any beautiful adult paranormal romance out there like that?

Kelley Armstrong.
She’s shelved under ‘Horror’ in the UK, but writes some of the best para-romance I’ve read.

Brenda Joyce the Masters of Time series..Highlanders are very hot but excellent plots and steamy sex scenes
Nina Bangs she has three different series in which there is the castle of Dark dreams series which are entitled “Wicked…” they are AWESOME
but all of hers are kick ass
Maya Banks the Colter’s series is good
Outside of Paranormal an amazing author is Lorelei James she has the Rough Riders series and blacktop cowboys series and one other one and they are absolute can not put them down books HIGHLY recommend
