Question:
I like authors such as Sherrilyn Kenyon, Lori Foster, Shannon McKenna, Jaid Black, Christine Feehan with alpha-male characters and happy endings. I definitely don’t like tear jerkers such as The Notebook.

Try books written by Janet Evanovich — especially the series about Stephanie Plum — I really have enjoyed those books.
The 14th book in the series just came out. The first ones title is “One For The Money” and then “Two for the Dough”, and so on, up to “Fearless Fourteen”.
If you do decide to try reading these, it is best if you start out with “One For The Money” and work your way up. They’ll make more sense that way.
However, the first book I read was the 6th one, and I enjoyed it so much that I then read them in order.

Try JR Ward, Angela Knight and Lynn Viehl. Fantastic vampires, often dark, seriously alpha males (esp in Ward), and Ward and Knight write more erotic romance than Viehl, but they’re all pretty steamy.
