I can’t remember how many in Feehan’s Dark series … but I stopped being interested after the Dragon “clan” books. The concept just got tired out. Dominating males … even with strong females … get tiresome after a while. The same goes for her Dark series.

How about Lynsay Sands. She writes a vampire series that’s adult without the multiple partners. Kerrelyn Sparks also write a vampire series that is adult without multiple partners. I noticed that was something you didn’t particularly care for with the Anita Blake series. Ummm… There are some mentions of religion in the Kerrelyn Sparks series, not heavy overtones or anything like that, just that they aren’t condemned or anything like that. I liked them still go back and reread them on a regular basis. While adult. Both authors actually make plots, not just a ton of sex scenes.

Lynsay Sands has a good series out. It’s a different viewpoint on vampires. There’s also Kerrelyn Sparks. Both very good authors

Nora Roberts is awesome. But steamy? Compared to some of the stuff coming out lately, I think her sex scenes are rather tame. Sexy, but tame.
Still, READ HER! I didn’t think there were any romance readers out there that haven’t read at least one of her books.

Have you tried Larissa Ione’s Demonica series or Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld? Both are excellent.
