September 22, 2011 Does anyone have a good urban fantasy/ paranormal romance book to reccommend?
Question:
I’ve run out of books to read, or rather all the books i want to read are on hold at my local library and i need something to pass the time. I enjoy reading stuff like rachel Caine’s Weather Warden series (though her morganville vampire series has never caught my interest) and Patricia Briggs’ Mercy Thompson series (as well as her alpha and omega) and i do enjoy Twilight (though any other YA urban fantasy i’ve read found rather dull…) i’ve also read the Kitty Norville series.
My friend enjoys Gena Showalter, though i’ve found her to be …overwhelming she was a little too graphic and little less plot for my taste. Ixnay on the sex kay? I don’t mind a little but…i’d rather have *minimal*-content- if you get my drift. [so i guess that rules paranormal romance out]

Laurell K Hamilton’s series with Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter is interesting for the first six or seven books after that the focus shifts dramatically & it becomes less interesting

Well, since Mercy and Kitty are on my list, you might like any or all of the 4 series by Charlaine Harris http://users.ticnet.com/mikefirth/favorite.htm#HARRI and look at some of the other choices there.

Hello it seems we have very similar taste.
