April 30, 2011 I am looking for another fantasy or paranormal / romance series for adults Need Help?
Question:
I need help finding a fantasy or paranormal romance series for adults. I am reading Partholon by P.C. Cast and am totally in love with it. I am waiting on divine by blood to come in the mail. I so wish I did not order the book because now I have to wait. But in the meantime I would really love to find something similar to the partholon series or better. I just totally love it. Please any suggestions are welcome

As a warning, Twilight and Vampire Academy are NOT for adults…
As a single book, Sunshine by Robin McKinley is pretty awesome.
As a series, the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris are fun but not that high-quality. If you’ve been living under a rock, these are the books that the True Blood TV show is based on (and if you haven’t seen True Blood yet, it’s worth watching, the first season is only 13 episodes long).

The Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris.
Dark Lover series by J R Ward.
There’s a series of books similar to Dark Lover, but I can’t remember the name. The author is Lara Adrian and the first book in the series is called Kiss of Midnight.
All are vampire fantasy – adult, compared to Twilight. I’ve never read P C Cast, so I don’t know if they’re similar to it.
[Edit] Technically, Twilight is Young Adult (teens), but it has crossed over and many adults, including myself, love it.
