Question:
I like historical romance novels. Some of my favorite authors are Connie Mason, Kresley Cole, Monica McCarty and Julia London. I love anything romance novels that have to do with Ireland or Scotland. I also like exciting paranormal romance novels like the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer. If you know of any books along those lines please add them to the list of answers if they are not already there. Thank you.

The best romance author i’ve ever read was Nicolas Sparks. He wrote the notebook and a walk to remember. The Host was good to.

There is a book called Poison Study. It is a trilogy. The other two are Magic Sudy and Fire Study. They were really good. I think it would fit your descriotion. Sorry if these would not be what you want. I really like the book but at first when I skimmed through it, it is not in third person. The author uses “I” and other first person phrases.

City of Bones. It’s kinda like the Twilight Series! (Better, in my opinion, and I LOVE Twilight!) It’s hot, has the paranormal in it, has seriously sexy scenes, and twists that I cant even BEGIN to describe.

I haven’t read any of the books you mentioned, but there’s a book called The Perilous Gard, by Elizabeth Marie Pope, that I read over and over again. It’s set in Tudor England and based on the Tam Lin ballad, and it’s very romantic in an unromantic sort of way. Sorry if that makes no sense. It’s wonderful, anyway.
I also like Jane Eyre and books by Jane Austen, but I’m not sure if they’re the sort of thing you’d like. The writing is very old-fashioned.

If you are looking for historical romance, try Johanna Lindsey . Her older books are wonderful. Most are set in England but she has a couple in Scotland (Gentle Rogue is my favorite.)
Julie Garwood is also excellent.She has several contemporary romantic suspence, but most of them are historical romance. The Secret and The Bride are two of hers set in Scotland.
Catherine Coulter has a number of great ones. The Bride series (The Sherbrook Bride, the Heiress Bride, The Hellion Bride, The Scottish Bride) and The Song Trilogy (Fire Song, Earth Song, and Secret Song) either have scenes in Scotland or take place entirely there.

If you like a Regency historical then you can’t go past Stephanie Laurens, Catherine Coulter, or Jo Beverley (though some of my favourites of hers are not always regency). They couple the manners of the day and the required etiquette of the upper class with sensuality and quite a lot of laughter (which I find hard to resist).
In the paranormal – Cheyenne McCray’s magic series (currently up to book 4 with book 5 out in November) is great but decidedly steamy.
Mary Jo Putney, Johanna Lindsey, Elizabeth Thornton and Amanda Quick also number amongst my favourites.

try Hannah Howell, she writs historical romances, they are set in Scotland, and almost all of them have supernatural things in them (ex: in one book, the male is a a vampire, in another the female is almost a cat woman)
