Question:
This is a Time Travel Romance Book that I read back in 1998, I really dont have much to go off of so who ever can actually figure this one out is a genius. All I can remember is the girl whom is living in our time travels to Scotland (pretty sure its Scotland) I believe it is through a portal in a meadow/park, and finds her way to a castle where she meets a really mean Scottish man who is the master of the castle and he is mean to her but you know how all these books go eventually after all the fighting and drama they fall in love. I think maybe he even gets hurt at some point in the book? Maybe not again this was so long ago I dont remember…
I really dont know much else. I just know the significant part is the time travel part is she gets there via a portal in a meadow/park. Ive looked through Nora Roberts, Linda Howard “Son of the morning”, Lynn Kurland “A dance through time”, Karen Morning, Jude Deverux, Just skimming none of them seem to be it. I dont know… Im at a loss… HELP!!!

OUTLANDER by Diana Gabaldon?
Takes place in 1700s Scotland….a woman named Claire accidentally travels back in time via a stone circle Etc.
Sounds like it. That’s my favourite book by the way.

That sounds a little like Diana Gabaldon. Check out Outlander by her and let me know if that sounds right? I love the whole series so even if that isn’t right it’s similar and maybe you’d like it.

Hi, I’m also trying to find the title of a book that has a similar plot to the one that you were inquiring about (over a year ago!). I checked the replies to the right and those aren’t it. I was wondering if you ever found the title. In the beginning of the story, the ghost of the man is constantly oogling her. She travels back in time and finds him flesh and blood. He gets hurt (shot I think) and she saves him, realizing that that was what killed him in her present. Does that sound fimilar at all?
