March 9, 2011 Need more authors!!?
Question:I absolutely LOVE the authors Christine Feehan and J.R. Ward. At the moment I’ve read all of their books that my local library has in stock. While waiting for my library to order more of their books, I was going to try a new author. I need an author who writes like them. Their genre is romantic suspense/fantasy (vampires/shapeshifters) If you need more of an idea google their websites (If you’re into these kind of novels you’ll love them). I really enjoy these kind of novels. Much detail, 400+ pages, and its not a crappy romance (i.e. “sex, chocolate, and vampires”–something stupid like that) I hate crappy romances. They just give romance novels a bad name. So, novels by authors who write like Christine Feehan and J.R. Ward would be greatly appreciated. (author name rather than the book title would be greatly appreciated)
Thanks in advance! =D
Novels aimed at teens can be good I guess, but I prefer novels aimed at adults. Not erotica, but more than what a young adult author would give me.
and I hate the Buffy series.
and I’ve read plenty of Sherrilyn Kenyon novels and they’re like a joke compared to Christine Feehan novels.

Stephanie Meyer has written an excellent vampire romance trilogy called “Twilight”. They’re officially aimed at teens, but they have a lot of appeal to adults as well. All three of the books are about 500+ pages long. I would check those out.

The obvious answer (which I suspect you will get a lot of) is the Twilight series by Stephenie Myer. Sunshine by Robin McKinley is a good one too (it does have a few scenes in it that are not SO appropriate). Hope this helps!
