November 7, 2011 Paranormal-romance series recommendations?
Question:
I would like recommendations of romance book series with paranomal aspects. Not standalone paranormal books, but series with continuing characters! As an example, I love Christine Feehan’s Drake Sisters books. Each sister has magical abilities and there are seven books in the series (five have been published so far). Vampires, werewolves, magic, any other paranormal aspects are good.
I don’t like historical books, though, so please try to rec only series with a contemporary setting, or possibly futuristic.

Have you tried Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series?
They are the most amazing books ever about a normal girl who falls for a vampire.
& in the sequel there are other paranormal characters, but I won’t say what in case you haven’t read it.

Um, wow. ANY paranormal romance books? Uh oh! Now I’ll be disappointed if I miss one. Here goes nothing:
-The Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. See above.
-The Vampire Beach series by Alex Duval. It’s about a guy from Michigan moving to Malibu where he finds out about the vampires living there. The first book is Initiation.
-The Vampire Kisses series by Ellen Schreiber. It’s about a Goth Girlnamed Raven finds out that a Goth Guy has moved into the creepy mansion on the hill. She falls in love with him, but a pretty big question remains: Is he a Vampire or not? The first book is Vampire Kisses.
-The Daughters of the Moon series by Lynne Ewing. It’s about a small group of half-goddess, half-human girls who ward off evil. The first book is Goddess of the Night.
I’m sure I’ve missed a lot of them. I read them all the time. Happy reading!

Try Kari Aurthers series Starting with full moon rising. Its a five book series about a half vampire/half were wolf detective!! Its very good and very sexy!!

Try Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld series or Kresley Cole’s Immortals After Dark series, they’re both excellent. (like those before me, I also recommend J.R Ward and Keri Arthur).
Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series is pretty good too but it’s chock full of sex so it’s not for everyone.
Finally, Jacquelyn Frank’s Nightwalkers series is worth reading too, even though her writing is sometimes burried in rich prose, the story is about a council of Demons and Druids. HOT demons lol
