I liked the second book too. It has a lot of potential as a series. I look forward to getting to know more of the characters.

There is nothing worse then setting your appetite for a chocolate muffin and ending up with bran; that is just what this novel is bran. The Arthur has disguised her fantasy/horror novel as romance-it is not. I am so glad I checked the book out from the library instead of buying it.

The other reviewers have covered most of the things that matter, but I’m glad I went ahead and bought both books at once (If Angels Burn and Private Demon). If I had not read them in order I might have been a bit confused. Read in order they are a nice diversion.

I read If Angels Burn and waited impatiently for Private Demon. I loved it. Nice little plot twists to keep you guessing. Thierry was definitely yummy–love that French accent. I can’t wait for Dark Need, and I hope that Valentin Jaus gets his own story, as well as Thierry’s son Jamys. I fell in love with both of them.

Too many characters with too many motivations to keep track of. The heroine comes off as a clueless, dimwit. Not enough sexual tension or a clear enough plot.
