The Best Paranormal Romance

Question:
Can anyone recommend a good romance, no cheap ones with teenage girls one the covers (Yes i’m completely judging books by their covers here) I mean I’m sick of people suggesting ‘City of Bones’ or even worst ‘Vampire Academy’ i mean c’mon an academy for vampires? seriously?

The thing is that i don’t mind paranormal romances or fantasy (whichever you like to call them) Some of the books that i really enjoyed, pretty much loved were: The Time Traveler’s Wife, The Hunger Games, and A Great and Terrible Beauty. So can anyone suggest a well plotted, well written novel that is NOT simply famous for its use of vampires or werewolves in it?

Okay so I am a major book worm. I love to read as long as its interesting. I started out with young adult novels, and I still love them. I am just running out of them to read. So now I am more into the adult stuff, I like a good story with a little bit of erotica in it. Makes everything a little more interesting!

I love paranormal romance series. I like “Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel” (my favorite. Even though it doesn’t have much romance, it’s paranormal part is stunning & beautifully written), “His Dark Materials”,”Eragon” & “Harry Potter”. I also enjoyed Neil Gaiman & Meg Cabot (like the Mediator) a few years ago, but now I’m not a teen anymore, I want to search for something a little more mature.
Right now I’m following Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr. LOVING it. If you know any good series that include magic, faeries, angels, dreams,…, anything supernatural & beautiful, and a twisted & heart-warming romance with happy ending, please tell me. I yearn for good reads that can make my heart jump & ache for joy of the characters.

P.S: No Twilight. I’ve read & LOVED all of them, but the fact that they’re EVERYWHERE now makes me sick. So no vampire.
