I REALLY wanted to like this book. It wasn’t as interesting as it could have been. Where was the author’s copy editor? Too many typos.

I feel totally duped by all these 5 star reviews, I can’t figure them out, did we read the same book? I usually don’t write reviews, but I feel so strong about this one I have to. The writing style was horrible, lacking depth, reminding me of my 5th grader just learning to write using too many adverbs and adjectives, just because. I gave this book an honest effort and forced my way through it. But cannot recommend anyone else do the same. I don’t think Amazon had the excerpt from the book included in the listing when I made my purchase, I’m sure I wouldn’t have ordered it if it was there.

Just the right mix of romance, horror, and adventure. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

I found the writing style annoying to say the least. I must admit that I did not finish reading it; mostly because I found it so hard to get into. I just found the writer’s choice of wording distracting and sappy; kind of “smurfy” even. I was very disappointed. I was all revved up about this one after reading the reviews. It turned out to be an expensive mistake. It would have helped had I been able to read a few of the pages before I ordered it. I would have seen right up front that this was just not something that was going to work for me. Unfortunately that option was not available for this selection. I think I was hoping to find something similar to C.L. Wilson’s “Tairen Soul” series. I couldn’t have been more wrong. If C.L. Wilson is what you like, this is not the book for you!

While I enjoyed this book and would certainly say it was worth the read, I found the repeating of dialog annoying. The main character, expresses her doubts, resistance to change, need to embrace change, take a risk, trust, don’t trust over and over to the point where I wanted to say, get over yourself!
From the reviews I read i thought this book would be a little more sophisticated. it had some good messages, but I thought the details about clothing and repetition boring and added nothing to the story line.
