if your looking for more adult, the dark series by christeen feehan.
also, there is a really good werewolf series. i cant remember the name of the first book, but the second one is called kissing sin. they are by someone by the name of karen.
Night World is a very good series written by L.J Smith. She also writes other books like ‘Dark Visions’ and she is the author of Vampire Diaries as well. All stories in this series are romance.
‘The Mortal Instruments’ series written by Cassandra Clare have vampires in them but is also about the Supernatural, forbidden love etc. So far only three books are out in the series, ‘City of Bones’ ‘City of Ashes’ and ‘City of Glass’, a fourth one is being written and is out next year, March 2011 I think, called ‘City of fallen Angels’ and after reading the first three books it is an amazing series and I’d really really recommend it.
Plus if you like these books you may like a series of books written by Kelley Armstrong. Her best books I’ve read is ‘Living with the Dead’ , which isn’t really a romance I don’t think but is still about love in the afterlife and things. And a trilogy with the books ‘The Awakening’ and ‘The Summoning’. The third book in the trilogy is out in May 2010. Which is a very good teenage romance book as I don’t know your age so people above a certain age may not like this as it’s more for young adults/older teens.

the southern vampire mysteries which are the books from the show true blood, theres 9 in the series and another coming out in may, they are brilliant!
and i recently read a series called the love at stake series by kerrelyn sparks which is also amazing, not sure how many are in the series as still not finished i think theres about 8 tho!

I’m reading it and its kinda like Twilight but its like a gothic version of it and no werewolves this time =(
