Whats a good adult Fantasy Romance Book series?

Question:
I’ve read-
Christine Feehan- Dark series
Karen Marie Moning- Highlander and her dream series.
I like both series and enjoy series with several books in it. I dont care for the lord of the rings or twilight, not adverse to vampire series, just think that a girls having a baby with a dead guy is a bit gross. Thanks for all your help

  1. Do you mean fantasy as in dragons and such?
I read the Xanth series by Piers Anthony, but it is more of a fun read.

You should check out Teresa Medeiros books, they are not “series” books, but they are great fantasy romances.

  2. For fantasy romance:
    Robin Owens – Celta series
    CL Wilson
    Elizabeth Vaughn – Warprize series

    For vampire romance:
JR Ward – Black Dagger Brotherhood (read in order!)
    Sherilyn Kenyon
    Angela Knight – Mageverse series
    Lynn Viehl – Darkyn series

    For futuristic or sci-fi romance:
    Angela Knight – Warlord series
    Linnea Sinclair

Urban Fantasy or contemp paranormal (not vampires):
    Marjorie Liu
    Ilona Andrews
Jim Butcher – Harry Dresden series
    Robin McKinley – Sunshine

    Straight fantasy:
Anne Bishop’s The Black Jewels trilogy
    Robin McKinley’s fairy tales

  3. I don’t think my Stories of the Dead Earth saga is considered an “adult” fantasy romance series.

But it *is* pretty funny and does have some romance in it.

The series deals with a couple of lost princesses, mecha, magic, and sky dragons–plus one evil tyrant king that rules the Dead Earth. (It’s not *dead* in the sense of the word, but in reference to the nearly “Dark Ages”-type environment that prevails across some parts of the planet. It’s pretty cool.)

The first two books are complete, the third is still being written, but there’s enough in the third to keep everyone happy and satiated–until I can finish. :0)
